Today in science we planted our own seeds. We had previously learnt about what happens when a seed germinates.
First the seed coating softens and the root starts to grow inside the seed. Next the root begins to grow from the seed. The root continues to grow and branch and begins absorbing water. The shoot then starts to grow out of the seed and the coating is removed.
