The children worked in pairs to make the vehicle that they had designed by starting with the body, wheels and axles. The children carefully inserted their axles and worked as a team to add the wheels that they had chosen and fixed them with a range of different materials. Year Two evaluated their product throughout to see if it fit their design criteria.
Year Two then decorated their vehicles, making sure to use fluorescent colours as this was something that they made sure to add to their design criteria. They decided to use paint and coloured card to create their emergency vehicles.
