Some of the Eco Club children had the amazing opportunity to  volunteer with the Greenspace Development Team for Tameside Council and worked with other volunteers on their bulb planting project to improve the King George VII Playing Fields, which is the school's local park. The reason they did this was to work to improve the wider community and to develop their understanding of how to plant flowers so that they are ready to plant some in our school grounds. 

They dug holes in the ground and planted lily of the valley, garlic and bluebells. The children were particularly excited as most of them walk through the park to get home so they get to see their flowers grow every day.
