Welcome Message

As the Headteacher of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Primary School, I would like to take this opportunity to warmly welcome you to our school.

The aims of the Governors, staff and myself are to create an environment that will ensure that your child will progress academically, socially and personally to reach his or her full potential.

We value the support and co-operation of parents, and view the education of each child as a partnership between home, school and parish. By working together, we can achieve the very best for all our children.

We are very proud of our school, its Catholic ethos and its excellent reputation within the local community, and we expect the highest standards from all our pupils in everything they do. All staff are committed to ensuring your child’s time with us is both happy and successful and we look forward to celebrating each and every child’s achievements.

The children were incredibly curious throughout and demonstrated a good understanding of the process and the structure of the heart.

Y5 & Y6 Literacy Kicks at Stalybridge Celtic FC
This weekend a number of our Year 5 and 6 students attended the Stalybridge Celtic FC match against Bootle. In partnership with Literacy Kicks the children were able to interview the manager, speak with the players before the match and even wave the flags as the players came onto the pitch.
The club were absolutely amazing with the children, as was Literacy Kicks. Our children were outstanding ambassadors for our school demonstrating exemplary behaviour at all times.
Well done OLMC! 💙💛
